Busy..

So much time has passed since I was even logged in to my Xanga!

Brianna started LHMS in the fall and she likes it.   We are going to Oaklawn Baptist Church  and it is a good fit for our family.  Aidan loves AWANA and Brianna is in the youth group. 

Thanksgiving was good.  We had dinner at our house with my entire family, it was a good time.  Onward to Christmas.....!!!

Friday: busy busy busy at work.  Brad worked until 2 am doing service calls and then we crashed. 

Saturday: more service calls, Taylor's 4th birthday party at Play by Play. Then we went to Cajun Boilers for my Dad's birthday celebration. Brad had two more calls after dinner...

Sunday: SS and church, then out to lunch. We came home, rested for a bit, made a dessert and gathered up some drinks, bicycles, chairs, etc and headed to the church picnic with my family.  The kids all rode bikes, and Brad, My Dad and JJ played softball.  The adults and some kids played ball... it was funny.  Aidan hit the ball pretty good... Brad got a base hit, and lucky for him one of the guys behind him hit a homer and he didn't have to run really fast... lol!  We then drove out and sat on a ridge and watched the fireworks display before heading home.

Monday:  We slept late!!! Yippee!  We attempted to go to Magic Springs... we actually made it into the park... well all of us but Brad.  He had not gotten his pass processed and so he was waiting in line... we entered in and Aidan was wanting to ride a ride, so we told Brianna to go back and tell him to meet us in the kiddie park... but when we got there it was starting to storm.  He rode one ride and we went back to the front of the park... we barely made it before the bottom dropped out. Brad was next in line when the power blinked, I stepped up there to tell him we were waiting by the door, and the coke machine shocked me!! It was scary... the man standing there thought I was going down.  so after that, we were still waiting on Brad to process... and a little boy came in shivering and crying... he was ALL ALONE in the pool when it started storming and didn't know what to do.  He didn't know his mom's cell #... I gave him one of our towels to dry off and took him to the office to see what procedures they have in place for lost kids... and well they DON'T!!  He was scared to death... finally someone came, but it wasn't his mom... they couldn't find her... but he knew this lady... so who knows? Some parents are total idiots!!

Well that was our eventful long weekend... tomorrow is a busy day.  More work, piano, softball...
